Biostrategenix (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates this website at https://biostrategenix.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have written it to be read, not to be impressive.
1. Who We Are and How to Reach Us
Biostrategenix is a pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical quality and operations consulting practice. For any question about this policy, or to make a request about your personal information, contact us at privacy@biostrategenix.com.
We serve clients in the United States and India. We do not currently market our services to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
2. What We Collect
We collect three categories of information.
Information you give us. If you complete our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, any other contact details you provide, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to you and, where relevant, to discuss and deliver consulting services.
Information you give us when you subscribe. If you subscribe to the Decoded monthly digest, we receive your email address and nothing else. We use it for one purpose: to send you that digest. We do not add anyone who has not submitted the subscription form themselves, we do not use digest addresses to make sales approaches, and we do not pass them to anyone.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting and analytics providers record standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and date and time of the visit. This is used to keep the site running and to understand which content is read.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device. This site uses them in two ways.
Necessary cookies keep the site functioning and remember your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies tell us which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. We use these to decide what to write about.
Our site runs on the WordPress.com platform and uses services provided by Automattic, including content delivery, site statistics and image hosting. Some cookies are set by that platform rather than directly by us. You can manage your preferences using the cookie banner, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
4. Third Parties That Process Data for Us
We use a small number of service providers. Each processes data on our behalf, under their own privacy terms:
- Automattic / WordPress.com – website hosting, content delivery, site statistics
- Google Analytics – website analytics
- Zoho – customer relationship management, business records, and delivery of the Decoded monthly digest
- Microsoft 365 – email and business correspondence
We do not otherwise disclose your information, except where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to two years from the last contact, then deleted.
Client records: for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterwards, to meet contractual, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.
Website analytics: retained according to the settings of the analytics provider, generally no more than twenty-six months.
Decoded monthly digest subscribers: for as long as you stay subscribed, and for thirty days after you unsubscribe, after which the record is deleted.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Provide a copy of it
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop using it for a particular purpose
Email privacy@biostrategenix.com and we will respond within thirty days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Marketing email. You can leave the Decoded monthly digest at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any digest email, reply to one with the word UNSUBSCRIBE, or write to privacy@biostrategenix.com. We act on unsubscribe requests within ten business days, which is the maximum the CAN-SPAM Act allows, and normally the same week. Every digest email carries our postal address, as that Act requires.
California residents. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above in relation to the categories of information set out in section 2. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Residents of India. If you are in India, you may contact us at the address above to exercise rights in relation to your personal data, including access, correction and erasure.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
This site is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. External Links
Our articles link to regulatory agencies, standards bodies and other external sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing information to them.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy we will update the Last Updated date above and post the revised version on this page. Material changes will be described at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
